Agreement Variation Notes

Employers in Queensland are required by law to have a written agreement registered with QPIR for each employee covered by the Real Estate Industry Award 2010.  Variations to such written agreement must also be registered with QPIR.

The paperwork needed is:

  1. An Application to Register Agreement Variation (pursuant to Schedule E to the award); and
  2. Any variation to the existing written agreement about the employee's bonus, commission or incentive payment entitlements, or otherwise (i.e. specifying that no such entitlements exist).

Written Agreements are known to be available from the following sources:

Employers are also free to use their own written agreements if they wish, but are cautioned to ensure that they comply with all award requirements, many of which are very detailed and specific.
